Transfer Credit

Take advantage of Pacific InterContinental College’s flexible transfer credit options to recognize relevant prior study and professional learning while maintaining academic quality and integrity.

Transfer Credit Policy (Post-Graduate Program)

The Graduate School will accept a minimum of twelve (12) units for courses taken in other schools. Transfer credits shall be given only for courses that are equivalent to those required by PIC–GS for the degree program to which the transferee wishes to be admitted. Transfer credits can be given only once, upon admission to PIC–GS.

Acceptance / Rejection of Credits Earned at Other Institutions of Higher Education

The Office of Admission at PIC awards transfer credits according to the following guidelines for the Master’s Degree program (5 terms):

  • Transfer students will enter into the 3rd term and must enroll at PIC for a minimum of 2–3 terms (depending on the evaluation of the student’s Transcript of Records) to qualify for a Master’s Degree.

Expiration Date of Credits Earned at Other Institutions of Higher Education

PIC–USA will only accept credits earned at other institutions of higher education that are no more than ten (10) years old at the time of application. For students whose credits are more than ten years old at the time of application, their applications do not meet the “Transfer Credit” requirements at PIC. Such students will have to enroll as first–year students without transfer standing.

Acceptance of Transfer Credit Disclosure Statement

Pacific Intercontinental College–USA (PIC–USA) recognizes that students may have completed academic coursework at other accredited institutions of higher education and may seek to transfer those credits toward a graduate program at PIC–USA. The acceptance, evaluation, and application of transfer credit are determined solely at the discretion of PIC–USA as the receiving institution.

PIC–USA may accept up to twelve (12) units of graduate–level coursework completed at other institutions, provided that such courses are equivalent in content, level, and learning outcomes to those required in the student’s selected PIC–USA graduate program. Transfer credit is evaluated only once, at the time of admission, and is not reassessed after enrollment.

For the Master’s Degree program, transfer students may enter at the third academic term and are required to complete a minimum of two (2) to three (3) terms at PIC–USA. The exact number of required terms is determined by an official evaluation of the student’s submitted Transcript of Records.

PIC–USA will only accept transfer credits that were earned within the past ten (10) years at the time of application. Coursework completed more than ten years prior to application does not qualify for transfer, and such applicants must enroll as new students without transfer standing.

All transfer credit decisions—including acceptance, partial acceptance, or rejection—are final and made at the sole judgment of PIC–USA based on institutional policies, academic standards, and program requirements.

What to consider when transferring credit

Course equivalency

How closely your previous courses match PIC course outcomes and credit hours.

Recency of study

Whether the learning is current enough to support your chosen program.

Program requirements

Supporting documents
